The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Multi Tasking Staff every year at the national level. The SSC mts exam is one of the most popular competitive exams in India, offering opportunities for recruitment to Group C non-technical posts such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in various Ministries, Departments, and Government Offices across the country.
The age requirement for SSC MTS varies according to the post.
For MTS roles, candidates must be 18 to 25 years old, with their date of birth falling between 2nd August 2000 and 1st August 2007.
For Havaldar positions under CBIC & CBN as well as some MTS posts, the age limit is 18 to 27 years, i.e., candidates should be born between 2nd August 1998 and 1st August 2007.
To claim age relaxation, candidates need to show valid proof. The relaxation depends on community category or physical disability, and in some cases, the upper age can be extended up to 45 years. Keep in mind, this relaxation is given only on the upper limit. The minimum age of 18 years stays the same for everyone, no matter which category they belong to. The detailed age relaxation rules are listed below:
